And yes, it was a brilliantly Good Friday, sun was out, the fish were swimming and I was with my favorite people enjoying the day...... on some kick arse rapids. We put in at the same river location as they did on the movie "Without a Paddle", and finished up here .......
|Sorry, had to hide their faces, you know how it is|
My $50 sports camera worked a treat, brilliant HD video both on the rapids and under the water. We got hot, sunburned and all but mum jumped over board in to the cool river several times to cool off. So many thanks to Wet 'n Wild rafting company in Rotorua for making my birthday so good. I should point out for you American girls, yes you always have to paddle your own raft in NZ.
For those that don't know, Rotorua is a geothermal area, and a bit of an adventure play ground for people who live in the North Island of New Zealand, just 2 & 1/2 hours drive from Auckland, or about 30 minutes from Lord of the Rings "Hobbiton". So if you ever visit, put Rotorua on your "must see" list and for at least 3 days if your in a hurry
A medical check last week, doctor recommended I wear a kilt or skirt, okay while the skirt is easy, I'm not associated to a clan so don't feel like that a kilt would be right.
Today, Sunday, one of the girls has a sore throat, so had to do a morning trip to the emergency chemist (regular chemist is shut as only hot food outlets and service stations are allowed to be open today).
Foundation took 30 seconds, lipstick 10 seconds, that's it. I mean I have cars to fix, garden to re-organize (under wifes supervision of course) and to much stuff happening to afford spending more than 5 minutes total on todays look.
Got back home with the meds, to find a strange male sleeping in my den. Apparently one of my girls who was sleeping out, decided to come home in the dark early hours, and grabbed a male escort to walk her home.
