What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

Merry Christmas everyone

Started my week finding the correct parts for the repair of my wife's car.

I visited "Pick a Part" wreckers where they had a similar car that had been rear ended. I paid my $2 and walked in with my tool box (would have loved to do photos here, maybe in a wedding dress and getting greasy, but today I'm on a mission, in boy mode), checked and removed a front left axial, paid for the part on the way out and replaced the wifes car stub axial. It's nice having the correct tools for the job, even if I only need them once in every 5 years and nothing really beats playing with mechanical stuff, grease or power tools.

Okay - nearly correct tools

Of course there's other jobs, like going to the shop when you realize your totally out of dog food (after a coffee)

Apart from relaxing morning coffee, there's still a need for a few extra presents under the tree for the kids in the quite expanded family.

Before shopping, while the morning light was still low, I decided to try a photoshoot with this dress wife left on our bed last night.
One thing I learned from it, I still look like a man trying to be a woman - certainly didn't feel that way, felt more like me, trying to be me.

Anyway, it's family time and with that in mind, I hope you all get to join with family (whatever shape or form that takes) and have a very merry Christmas and happy holiday times. My thoughts go out to those who's families are not connected and hope you find a friend to share this season with.

Holidays at last

With my workload completed for the year, most of us are on holiday as of now although a couple of staff still have some last minute work on.

It meant I got to relax this weekend, doing what I like, coffee outings 😀

I had a night of house sitting, ie watching a channel I don't subscribe too but the family let me use their TV, so watched a Star Gate episode that was made after the tv series closed down, followed by a nice long hot bath and got to shave my legs in the tub. If you have never noticed, my skirts get longer or I break out stocking or trousers when my legs start getting hairy. In the morning, got to relax on their family deck with a nice cup of tea before getting out of my nighty.

And since I was a bit out of town, decided to check out the area, for photo opportunities that you might enjoy. I do wish I had a proper photographer, the tripod and a ten second counter just makes for a lot of running and hoping I get the pose before the photo is taken (the photo of me trying to seductively lay on the rock was a total failure).
I really enjoy get out into the country and exploring new areas.

I stopped at a coffee shop on the way home, while a mum smiled at me, the dad and two boys (about 11 year old) were a bit shocked someone dare to dress outside the norm and sit at the next table. I said good morning politely to them and they went about their own discussions

Ran into the man

I had lent a friend $200 and wasn't overly concerned about the money, but this week it was returned to me. I was so excited I decided to visit Westfield shopping mall (277 Broadway) to see what new dresses took my interest

Then I get a phone call about a flat battery in the wifes car. I'm not overly surprised as it was 5 years old and I did have to jump start it the day before, ran it for 20 minutes and hoped it was caused by the grandkids playing behind the wheel and pushing all the buttons.
So with the excitement of having $200 in my pocket for me to spend on stuff I want, I went to Supercheap and got her a $235 battery 😒

They are a bit heavy and I had blown my bicep throwing the grandchildren around the day before, but got it home and wife is very happy to have a usable car again (lets not mention her wheel bearing problem, that's another $450 and 2 hours to repair).

Relax attempt, take two
Window shopping is very relaxing and my morning started with the regular coffee.
Don't ask why I have this wig on, it's well gone it's best before by date
Anyway, window shopping, relaxing.

You know, when I think about a man, I would want one that bought me gifts, I love presents.
I think I've finally found a man that knows what I like 😃

Wishing it was summer time

Really wanting to get into more summer clothes

My grandson asked why I have hair coming out at my shoulders, I should have taken that as a hint that I need to shave my shoulders and arms again, but I couldn't really be bothered.
Having said that, as I walked through the busy mall on the way to the pub for a much needed drink, and seeing my reflection in shop mirrors, perhaps I should have shaved my shoulders and arms - maybe tonight but right now it's time for a drink.
It's still a bit early for pub life, so with only about 60 people in it, a lovely staff member saw how much trouble I was having taking a photo for you, she offered to help and even suggested their tree as a backdrop. Surprising how many people stopped drinking to watch me pose, made me feel a bit self conscious.

Mid week outing

It's always nice to have a day off mid week, time for myself without interruption.

Of course I start with coffee at my favorite cafe where the staff are always friendly and the other clients just as easy to chat to. I would like to add a breakfast snack, but for health reasons I normally have Weet-Bix for breakfast

I did a bit of grocery shopping, after changing to very tight pants, I went to get the stuff from the bulk shop and the wife enjoys the variety at the slightly more expensive shop.

On the way out of the mall, I saw a backdrop that I thought you would enjoy, so I set up the camera on the groceries in the trolly and just as the timer ran down, a kind woman offered to take the photo for me. So that is who I was looking at as the timer reached zero (life sometimes has interesting distractions).
And on point, I hope you are set up for a very Merry Christmas, even though there's still a few weeks to the magical time.

Wife's coffee was on special at "the Warehouse" so I got a couple of jars (hopefully enough for a month) and decided that I should have a second coffee at Muffin Break.

And after so many hours walking around, I have a sore on top of my toe where my fishnet stocking was rubbing it due to the pressure from my shoes. While it's only a small bit of skin missing, it feels like it's exposed a million nerve ends.

Love PVC

Firstly, thanks for the feedback about my blog. I hope in some way I've normalized this interest we have and for me personally, I know I have much more fun interacting with strangers while in girl mode.

                                                                        ****************

Okay, I don't mind pushing fashion from time to time. I see a few crossdressers (in the USA) in 1880 dresses and wish I had similar, same for the 1950s, both seem like great times in fashion. I also love tight clothes and while latex is out of my price range, there's a pvc option which can be fun. Okay this top has a lining that makes it not so suitable for summer, but I think it will be worn quite regularly next winter.

It also looks nice when I'm in "boy mode" when I pretend to be a Chippendale stripper (wife giggles - like she's watching a strip show)

I was heading south this weekend and stopped into "The Base" in Hamilton for a brunch. Gee it's grown since I was last in the area.

Arrived back in Auckland on Sunday afternoon and my first stop was to get the carpets above my eyes (brows) trimmed. I think getting rid of that "old man" brows makes me look way younger in boy mode, and hopefully prettier in girl mode.

Girls life becoming mundane

I started this blog to encourage others to get out.

It's probably done that as much as it ever will, so it's purpose has probably come to an end.

I do really enjoy it when you email or leave comments.

My girls life, is basically visiting cafes and shopping. I know there's more for Rachel, horse riding springs to mind real fast as does snow skiing, but with such a large family, finding time is nearly impossible.

This week I've had coffee and a light snack, visited shops, fell in love with 2 dresses at Mirrou, a fun mid thigh flirty dress and a similar longer elegant style, but saving for a trip with the wife so walked out heavy hearted and empty handed. A package arrived from China with a PVC looking top - that should be fun to wear at some time and a replacement for this old shiny black top I'm wearing in the first photo.

Dressing for summer, at last, worm enough for the thinnest of dresses.

Had one of those days

I took Friday off to get my car fixed, booked in at 8am.

I got up early, spent a whole 15 minutes on makeup to look good, dressed casually and drove my car to the local dealer / service depot. Standing there in reception, with staff and other customers, only to find out the parts hadn't yet left the supply depot and was told they would update me in an hour. I had planned a nice 4 hour outing in girl mode, including a bus ride to the shopping center. So I decided to visit the local Bunnings, check out their garden center and have a coffee.

During my coffee, they told me parts will be there around 10.30. Wife had a 12pm task for me so I rang her up and told her I was heading home in girl mode (my boy clothes were in her car as I was expecting her to pick me up) and asked if we had any unscheduled visitors, she said the "coast is clear".  Once home, I got changed, had a second breakfast, then we both took a car back to the dealer, who has now seen me in both modes. Wife and I did a 2 hour job before heading back to pick up my car. Disappointed my 4 hour girl time became a 1 hour outing.

One day I will have time to be myself.

Earlier in the week, I had coffee on the way home from work, walk around the shops, tried on a very tight pink tee shirt (I think there's a reason most of my clothes are black), didn't like the look, visited the library, checked out the book shop, neither having the book I was after, then picked up milk on the way home.

Well, worn the blue skirt twice, that's hopefully enough for this month, I wonder if oldest daughter is giving away any of her clothes. One of my girls wants me to "get with it" and buy a pair of slides like hers. I'm unsure, but never say never.

Nervous but....

Nervous, like butterflies in my stomach.

Many many years ago, I tried to say hi to a fellow sister (crossdresser). Lets just say the experience made me very wary about trying to say Hi to others.

Well today, I actually had the balls to try it again and ended up with a very pleasant meeting with an attractive lady. I was still very nervous and probably scared of any silence between us, so I probably talked too much (way more than normal). At the end, I told her "I better take a photo of my outing" to prove to you that I got out today, then totally forgot about it until I got to the shops. I promised to pick up some bread this morning for a 9am breakfast. Had I known I was going to run into a sister, I probably would have spent a bit more time doing my makeup - actually, no matter how much makeup I use, it's not going to help at my age.

EARLIER in the week...
I had to grab some groceries, found chicken breasts at $10 a Kg, so got 3Kg - mostly for the cat and a few other bits I needed for dinner. Of course I was so exhausted, I needed a refreshing coffee at Columbus Coffee and read the newspaper while there (I'm sure shopping for groceries is exhausting and a reasonable excuse for coffee?).

But while at the Shopping Centre, I decided to see if there were any nice new shoes to be purchased. I bought flats last week for $9 at KMart and now the 3 inch heels I've enjoyed for a only a year are starting to  hurt me after a 100 meters. I realized this morning that my heels are a bit worn out and sloped on the Top Piece (I think I have a couple spare replacements somewhere). Anyway, I did find a nice pair with a wide 2 inch heel at The Warehouse.

With limited funds, I decided purchasing a camera cleaning kit was more important as a couple of lens I tried were covered in months of dust and there's a couple of nasty dots on my sensor, praying they are just dirt and not a sensor fault.

The shoes remained on my mind all week so as soon as I got paid on Thursday, I was back in the shop and now I own too many pairs of shoes (2 heels and 2 flats, but no boots 😔).

I have a new project, I've been told the previous forms were done with Visual Studio, I'm like what's that? Opening it up, it's reminding me of some Visual Basic I did many years ago, so hopefully my old exposure might help but still suffering from impersonator syndrome when it comes to coding.
