What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

90 minutes

My wife signed me up for a Landscape Design seminar this evening.
I got home and had 2 hours before it started, so without due regard to my 36 hours worth of chin stubble, I threw on some foundation, mascara, lipstick, clothes (of course) and raced out the door.

The venue for the seminar was 30 minutes away and I decided to hit one of the shopping malls on the way for a coffee break only to find out my favorite cafe was already shut.
So you observant followers may have noticed I'm wearing my Paris top, the same one my wife bought me several years ago as a souvenir while we were in Paris. It's a thin top and appropriate for such a lovely warm day in Auckland - no, I still haven't gotten around to shaving my legs, so please don't go thinking I've woolly stockings or anything.

Anyway, I decided to stop at "Bird on a wire" cafe only to find at 4.15 they had also shut, I believe they have a late night, just not tonight.
Bird on a Wire is located inside a garden center, hence the flowers in the back ground

I finally arrive at the venue in Parnell, but with still an hour to kill, decided to have a drink at a pub behind the venue.

It was a lovely relaxing drink.
Then the wife rings up, tells me she's arrived early and parked outside a pub and doesn't know how to work the parking machines.
Being the gentleman, I walked past her car, tapped it on the bonnet and indicated I needed 2 minutes for a car change, before helping her.
Back in male mode and we still had 30 minutes to spare so we went back into the pub, had a great meal and some wine. She again complimented me on my shorter hair although she prefers me in BOY mode.
After a quick dinner we meandered across the road to the Landscape design seminar.

Earlier in the day, I bought a new pack of underwear and once home I showed my lovely wife who immediately burst out laughing,
What !!!
She points to the waist band declaring "Alpha Male"

Stressful night

Saturday I spent building a new trellis fence to hide the rubbish bins from the deck.
It was a full on day and by the late evening, when I'm thinking about getting ready to go to a Halloween party, I realized my dog isn't weeing and pooing.
10.30 pm I was at the emergency vets, unfortunately vet was busy fixing another dogs eye after it got into a fight, but she gave us a laxative which I administered once we got home. The dog is still no better this morning so Monday morning I'll be off to get him xrayed if things don't change.
The stress of a sick dog kept me awake until 1.30, or maybe that was the wife and kids coming home a wee bit intoxicated form the party I wish I had been able to attend.

Sunday morning, I'm awake at 6 am and decide to throw on some clothes and sneak out the house. I have been TOLD to sneak after last week when the wife checked my departure and realized the neighbours were watching us from their porch. It has caused her some anxiety, so she's asked me to sneak or wear a tent so no one can see me leave.

McDonald's coffee morning, legs haven't been shaved for 3 weeks so please don't look to hard (Yes I still dislike stockings).
I am getting to like the shorter hair, I mean the long wigs have been great for the last 30 years but it's probably time to change. It also allows me to style with a darker lipstick, something that never worked with my long wigs.
This morning make up was a full 7 minutes using Maybelline soft matte hydrating foundation followed by Maybelline Super Stay 24h foundation and Maybelline Super Stay powder, some cheap as, eye shadow, mascara and lips gloss

I would like to thank my 20 year old daughter for buying the white skirt yesterday but using the skirt I made for the Halloween party for her instead and leaving the skirt in easy reach.

I need a new pair of MENS shoes for work (not to mention the up coming wedding).
I checked out a whole range of shoes

Love these ones, but not very manly, maybe next weeks pay and it's good to see The Warehouse having pretty shoes up to size 12 in some brands. I also check out their home department and 2 perfect tops, 1 red floral crop top with long sleeves, looks great with high waist denim white skirt that really wants to come home with me.
Shame I'm here to buy men's shoes.

Long weekend

Ya for public holidays on Mondays!!!!
Apart from occasionally helping wife plant up her garden, this weekend has been very relaxing.
The closest thing to work was replacing curtain rails for 2 bedrooms.
Wife's doing a very nice job of making our bedroom a pretty little love nest, way I figure that is a Win-Win situation
We had a nice drive out to the west side of Auckland, missed my turn for the black sand beaches but ended up at a craft market for coffee and ice creams.

Monday started with an even  bigger craft market at Mission Bay. We drove around for about 15 minutes before finding parking about 1 Km away (10 minute walk for me)
Wife loved it (I've now got a corrugated iron butterfly wall decoration screwed to the house to prove it), not so sure about kids or dog.

No sooner than I walked in the door, girlfriend Josie texts to say we can meet up.
A quick 10 minute make over (too late for a shave), I asked wife if I should wear the long wig or short wig - she says short wig is better.
I suppose one day, I'll listen to her (or get used to short hair).
The beaches were packed, and difficult to find parking, but a small walk we had a semi-private spot to chat about girl stuff and watch over the whole beach.
I felt like a queen watching over her subjects.

After dropping Josie off, I needed my regular coffee stop, I mean like 3 days without my usual coffee and muffin was just getting too much.

fun weekend

First, before we get in to the photos,
Is there anyone who has code to drive a 2.4 inch TFT LCD touch screen on an Arduino Mega board, I'm after a couple of control buttons.
I'm not really wanting to re-invent the wheel, just want 2 buttons and figured someone out here already has the code.
This has been the only frustrating thing about my week.

I did teach my 16 year old how to use Auckland trains and buses, and she got on the wrong train on her first solo. She was lucky to jump back on to the correct train at the next stop, so pretty happy she now knows the difference between north bound and south bound - we also have a western line but not sure why anyone would want to go that way (joke for Aucklanders).
Just now got distracted with dinner - I was in such a hurry to get back to writing this to you,  that a chicken breast flew out of the tongs and splatted on the floor while turning it, that's okay, maybe I'll give that one to the person who displeases me the most before I serve up dinner.

Yesterday was a fabulous day with the wife, checking out garden centers for plant ideas, having lunch out with her and helping her with gardening.

I did manage to get out today, had an early coffee (7.30 am).
The day was shaping up to be like summer if a cold wind wasn't blowing in from the South.
Summer days are made for short skirts.

I was lucky enough to meet up with Josie, have brunch and a catch up with whats happening in her life.
Well I am kind of lucky in that way,
lucky to live the life I want,
lucky to meet extremely intelligent people
and also lucky that Columbus Coffee has a nice breakfast menu.

Today's fun

I'm still trying to get used to my short wig.
Not really sure it should be called a wig, since it was $9 from Wish website.

BUT first, the news......(we'll leave the photos your here to check out - for later)

Yesterday I witnessed a woman being grabbed in the street, lots of swearing etc, but I managed to get her away to safety, she explains her ex-boyfriend doesn't like the idea of being an ex.
After my Saturday morning outing, I took the family and friends to a Virtual Reality location, where they played  an intense music video game, wife toured the world in 3D and I had the Millennium Falcon land next to me and R2D2 came and stood beside me - I so could have been a Jedi.
Also after my "girl time", talking to one of my girls, while she's not trying to get pregnant, she also isn't trying NOT to get pregnant - so hopefully soon I might be a granddad, maybe even the coolest one on the planet - a boy would be nice, someone who I could teach soccer too?
                                     ********************************************

So 2 weeks ago, my wife found what she called a slutty little skirt that I haven't worn in the last 10 years.
I was going to wear it for you last week but chickened out, but in reality, wearing it this morning it's not so bad, something I would be okay wearing if you were taking me out on a date.

MAKE UP, due to a generous gift of make up, including top quality foundation, instead of the usual 5 minute make over, using 1 squirt of foundation, I went to town and used 3 times as much (3 squirts) along with a few other products gifted to me and I totally felt amazing.

After my morning 7 am coffee I did a quick car change and headed off to check out some new summer clothes.

I don't need any new bras, even though they were very cute.
I did try on some shorts and a couple of summer dresses.

While the shorts were comfortable, apart from at home I doubt I would ever wear them in public.
I liked the white dress, either worn with the shoulder straps up or down and it made my boobs look huge.

But really I didn't want to spend any more money on clothes, I have plans to take my wife to the beach tonight to watch the sunset, but still time for one more coffee (after I buy just 1 dress)

I love this summer dress, although I'm a bit weary about how it splits down the front and found myself wishing I had a safety pin in case the breeze picked up.
