What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

Still enjoying being in boy mode but...

This weekend, I finally got to have coffee with a friend. Between our busy schedules, it's not often we get to meet up. We both have massive responsibilities at work, home, friends and relatives plus other sporting commitments, so the fact we both had a morning free, on the same day, in the same country and the same city, is very unusual.

Before we meet up, I managed to grab a coffee and read the paper at my regular cafe.

Had a chat to one of the other regular clients after finishing the paper. She often has some other elderly women chatting to her throughout the morning, never expected myself to become one of the "old girls" (my hair is not yet grey enough for that). As I left the first cafe, I noticed my fishnet stocking had a run down the inner thigh, but as the morning was cold, I was determined to wear them as long as I could as they are for the bin once I take them off. Hopefully I get to Farmers department store for a new pair soon as they were good quality and I got lots of wear out of them.

At the grocery shop this week, I had a mum with a teen child, tell me, the chocolate Moro bar I was admiring on the shelf, was bad for me and I replied my doctor says the same thing (and she really does, often).

My Tuesday coffee stop was too short to really enjoy, but I did buy some very nice, comfortable new flats at KMart for $10. It's often hard to find a size 11 that still looks nice but it means my old pair of flats are probably going to be in the bin very soon - okay I'm emotionally attached to the old pair, so maybe next month.

Cleaning out my basement, I found this old photograph, must be about 10 years old now and I still want that bike.

Hi Rach,
Sorry but those are 1 ugly bike.
They are like a bike with trainer wheels.

I agree about the bike, but after falling off one 2 years ago, wife and kids have banned me from 2 wheelers (mid life crisis idea gone bad)
