What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

Lazy Sunday

Last week - on the Gold Coast for my dads 80th birthday.
Resting on the beach, but by 10 am we're all looking for shelter from the hot sun.

This weekend, back home, emptying the bucket under the roof leak every 3 hours and watching the hail stones melt. The dogs aren't going outside in this weather, but one has already gone inside, on the carpet.

Today is about being house bound, or maybe stealing an hour here or there.
In the early hours before the rains hit, I did manage a coffee outing and saw an amazing sunrise that the clouds were desperately trying to conceal.

After lunch with the wife, I decided to check out the mall (what else does one do when it's raining, okay I could have gone to the indoor rock climbing, but that's a two person sport).
I now know why I prefer the mornings, the mall was so packed I had trouble get out of some of the shops trying not to boob them, but I did manage to get my eyebrows shaped.

I'm not sure how, but the coffee girl remembered me after months away, I told JJ, she reckoned it was because of my smile
