Scary

I think my email address is going to get cancelled as it hasn't been used for a while, but it's probably time to shut down this site - especially after seeing how scary I look with the new camera......

I've wanted to try something new with photography and so I bought an Insta360 camera. I'm still learning the editing and so first time out, it's not what I see on the ads, so obviously I need more practice. Okay I'm using a selfie pole designed for cameras and phones, so that's the first mistake, the second mistake could be thinking I look good in the photos.

I do like a couple of features that I'll experiment more with, but certainly not enjoying it for selfies - it's scary, makes me look like an old man trying to be a woman (I suppose that's what crossdressing is about anyway). Thought I would try a couple of shots at 277 Newmarket after coffee

A quick visit to the domain while I'm in the area

I'm expecting to walk a track or two in the Drakensberg mountains, South Africa soon. Judging by my walks in Australia recently, I really need to practice my hill climbs. I would like to blame the Australian heat for my ability, but really, fitness or lack off, prevented me reaching the top on my last mountain attempt.

So for practice, I did a couple of walks up Mt Eden, but it was a fun walk not a hard push. I normally carry about 12kg on my back, but for this walk, I have about 1.6kg on my chest 😊

What's new

So I bought some nice shiny stocking from Temu. I really like the look and feel and the material feels really strong

The second time I wore them, I accidently pulled on the seam and destroyed them, next time I'll be more gentle (hopefully). New pair on order, in the mean time, just normal Woolworths stockings.

I did go to this cafe one morning, it was nice but eventually I needed the ladies room. It was locked and I found myself waiting with another lady for the disabled/parent toilet (no disabled or parents were waiting). Her female friend came out and got lost trying to get back to the tabled area so I gave her directions. Eventually the next lady came out and was going the wrong way before I assisted her as well. Finally got to relieving myself and found myself slightly disorientated when leaving the toilet.

I'm also enjoying my white top, but now it has lip stick marks that I can't get out. 

Google says IPA or other de-greasers, well I've even tried carburetor cleaner - still no luck. UPDATE - it's colouring from my nail polish, and it's never coming out

 

Car service

Well it's that time of the decade, I decided to service the car, yes the oil was black, yes it was like water, yes the power steering fluid was low - but the brakes are fine 😁 

So what does a crossdresser wear when serving the car - well overalls of course

No - not really, I don't want black oil in my hair, it was bad enough my latex gloves tore while emptying the very warm sump and the oil filter held enough fluid to run down my arm when I removed it.

 Anyway, the good side of it, I've calculated the cost of maintenance over the last 10 years to be $170NZD, or about $10USD per year (excluding tyres).

but sometimes a skirt or dress is just as nice

Op Shop

Wife and I went for a bit of a scenic drive. Our lunch stop was next door to an Op Shop (I secretly think she planned it this way). Anyway I found some nice tight yoga pants that flare a bit below the knees, a dark red top top and a pink knit cardie and skinny jeans. Wife tells me to go to mens section first before the changing room so it would appear as if I picked something up from there - I'm to lazy and head straight to the change booths. Wife also purchased 2 tops and a skirt - total bill for 7 items, $23.

I'm like -quick, I need to show you these new purchases, umm maybe with an early coffee at McDonalds or at 277 Newmarket shopping center during my lunch.

I did wear other stuff this week, but really loving the yoga pants and just want to wear them all the time. 

Sorry I couldn't wear make up on my trip to Bunnings and also the battery shop to get a replacement car battery, as I have a house guest that my wife would be unhappy if I returned with it on. Daughter gifted me the jumper about 18 months ago when she purged.

Yes, people see me (probably think I'm not right in the head), smile and more often than not, we say "hi" 

Like in "Hi, I'm your friendly neigbourhood crossdresser".

Coffee stops

 Where to start, well in the morning, I like coffee

I also like coffee in the afternoon on the way home

Sometimes I go to the mall in Newmarket for coffee ( I also enjoy shopping )

Sometimes I can't be bothered with wig or makeup, especially during these hot summer days

bush walks

I do enjoy getting out for walks in nature. It's been hot and windy, so not really wig type of weather.

I've had to improvise a bit, enjoyed a lovely 4 hour bush walk, said hi to a few people I passed on the track had a dip at a waterfall to cool off. 

Otherwise, I've done a bit of topdressing on my lawn and every couple of morning I go to pick a fresh strawberry that's ripened, to find birds have beaten me to it (2 mornings this week, zero for me - time for bird netting I think) 

Rocky Horror theater show and hot humid days

It's a show my friends invited wife and I to, and one of my lady friends was upset I didn't dress up for the show (of the four of us, she was the only one dressed up). In the audience about 20% dressed up for the 2pm show, but the people arriving for the later show, it looked closer to 40% dressed up.

My wife doesn't want the friend group knowing about my hobby and told me Jeans and shirt, which was my preferred anyway.

There's 2 other points

1) I dress when I want, not on command

2) I don't like men in fishnets and corsets (I'm still too square about that sort of stuff)

3) I've worn fishnets more this week, than most of last year (okay, that's 3 points)

I don't mind fishnets if it's still with day clothes like earlier this week....(is that point number 4?)

We are still having hot humid days that I can't be bothered with wig or make up. I'm still having fun, including a random woman approaching me for directions (had to blur my face, looking too much like our Prime Minister - or my grand dad, either way it's scary for me)
