What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

Life is about good food, good drink & great company

If you get all 3 it means you are blessed.

If you get all 3 and the opportunity to dress pretty, well we don't really have a word for how good that is without saying something silly like super mega blessed.

So here I am at Garrisons Pub, being super mega blessed with great company (Josie), good food and good wine.

Lovely quiet morning

Last few weekends, due to the late parties, which always ends with several "additionals" in the house, I think I've gotten fairly good at sneaking out without running in to anyone needing the bathroom.
This morning was no exception, my theory is to be up and out before they wake up but often means I need to be out of the house by 7 am at the latest.
It's also one of the reasons my make up is foundation, mascara, lipstick and then I'm out of the house in under 5 minutes.
The down side is for a 3 hour outing, means several coffee stops.
Today started with coffee, between 8 and 9.30 I had visited 2 department shops (K Mart & The Warehouse) and tried on several items of clothing. By 9.30 I was having a second coffee and breakfast at Columbus Coffee house. I do like coffee shops with ambiance and the national newspaper for light reading

McDonalds do great coffee here

Finished reading the newspaper, now time for a health chocolate cake breakfast :-)
Foot note:
Wife has taken strongly to gardening which means lots of digging for new plants and removing the old plants, so now I write this on my porch, watching many different birds enjoying our garden and the new spring flowers.

Finally some me time

Okay so it started early with me sneaking out at 7 am past all the party people who I wouldn't expect to wake for another few hours. A few people had waken and had used the toilet 15 minutes earlier, but hopefully they went back to sleep. We only have 1 bathroom so I had a quick shave and a 4 minute make over.
Still wintry this morning and that's enough excuse to wear my faux rubber tights, matching nail polish & lipstick - thusly I snuck out the house.
Early McDonalds coffee

Okay the tights and top don't really work, so I'm in need of a longer top because these tights feel to nice to take off

But I did

As the morning was still young, I meandered off to Sylvia Park mall for breakfast and also reading the paper to pass the time at Columbus Coffee shop. At 9 am I strolled around a few girls shops and tried on a couple of business type black skirts as I haven't gotten around to replacing the zipper in my skirt.

After Sylvia Park, I had to get a safety check completed on wife's car (I spent an hour yesterday under it, degreasing the steering rack as they now need a visual on it)
The vehicle testing station was still shut when I got there at 9.30 (opens at 10 am on Sundays), so I decided to get a photo on a busy Auckland beach, which was surprising vibrant with young families and walkers enjoying the sunny conditions.

Once I got changed and back home, found family and 4 of last night partiers having brunch.

Wife and I visited plant shop as she has the Spring gardening bug.

After 1 pm, I took youngest off for a bit of archery, and while in the field, she slipped and we spend the rest of the afternoon at A&E while she had X-rays and a plaster cast put on her arm.

Busy BUT.....

Tuesday - got home, started construction on my balustrade gate and cooked dinner.
After dinner watched a movie while waiting for Miss 13s mother to pick her up (shared custody) at 8.30 pm.

By 9 pm I was at Garrisons Pub, having a glass of wine and watching baseball. It's now on my highly recommended places to relax.

A big thanks to Miss 23 for providing the pretty floral dress, but I don't think I need to mention it to her just yet.

I know it's wrong to drink alone, yet on the other hand if you have no one to drink with, it's better than going thirsty  :)

Unfortunately by 9.30 pm, having drunk my wine I was feeling rather lonely and decided it was home time to cuddle up with my wife for a bit.
I was very sad taking this dress off, I felt really nice and snug in it and the goodbye wave from the lovely staff at the pub made me feel that little bit special (what girl doesn't want to feel special).

My son in law is visiting for a week, so my girl clothes won't be worn again for about 10 days.
Have a great week
