What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

Doing my civic duty

I'm very proud to be a New Zealander and support goverments that keep me feeling that way. I don't complain when the other teams in power as generally they do what they think is best for the country. Our main concern currently is "the cost of living" as it is all over the world it seems.
Unfortunately cost of living is heavily influenced by petrol prices, and since NZ doesn't produce their own, no government can change the cost of living.
It could be said, if we did drill our own..... well we would probably get BP to extract it, BP to send it off shore for processing and BP to return it and sell it back to us at "international rate" and the only people to make money would be BP with zero benefit to the country.
Anyway - I feel it's important to vote

I visited Farmers, to do some early Christmas shopping and nicely surprised at their range and price of kids toys.

I had to visit the optometrist to get my wifes glasses fixed, one of the screws fell out, but kind optometrist fixed it for free. Optometrist thought they were my pretty glasses, I think they would have to be twice the width.

One of the things about my new retaining wall, I had some 200 x 50 left over from the stone area a few months ago and got a few extra things last week, but found myself nine meters short. So out back to Bunnings and trying to lift fresh planks (about 35Kg) on to my car roof wasn't working, luckily a nice Asian chap also buying wood, saw sweet old me struggling and assisted. It's probably the first time I've worn skin tight sports leggings in public, but once I had committed, it felt quite normal.

The week has just been all go, and even a girl like me needs a rest so, I take a 3 hour break - theres nothing like having an easy Subway meal and movie evening
