What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

What a night - NOT!

So me and one of my girls spent yesterday assembling furniture as well as me having to sort out one of the vehicles repairs after failing it's annual safety check (fog lights that have never failed before, or been used, were pointing too high).
I assisted wife in painting a bedroom until 11.00 pm, showered and in bed by 11.30.

1 hour later, 12.30, the neighbours started fighting in the street after a day of drinking. Thinking it would be over soon, we tried to get back to sleep, eventually around 4 am, the police arrived and sent the overly drunk and agro brother away, back to his house.

Who knew I would be awake at 6 am after that - total of 3 hours sleep.
I decided to dress in a way I thought was edgy, total dressing and make up time - a full 25 minutes.

Tight undies for tucking, corset, 2 layers of body shaping undies, bra, another layer of body shaping under dress, stocking top and dress.
I felt as snug as a bug in a rug, god knows how I was still able to breath.

For make up, I decided to actually add eyeliner above and below my eyes for once as I saw and chatted to a beautiful woman on Friday who did her eyeliner that way (I was at the Indian takeaways, in jeggings, boots with 2 inch heels, bra and low top - no wig or make up at the time).

After coffee and reading the newspaper, I had to pick up peanut butter, as I would get in trouble if my youngest doesn't have any for breakfast when she wakes up

Eventually climbed back into bed with the wife and had a 60 minute snooze.
On waking up wife comments that I hadn't successfully removed all my lipstick.

Still, it's great to get out occasionally.

Stealing time

Building work at home finally passed it's second to last inspection. So at this stage it's all hands on paint rollers and laying the floating floor as soon as the paint dries. Eventually I'll have to connect the laundry appliances and then it will be time for the final inspection.

My outings this week, have been so fast and furious, that apart from female clothes, it was just me (no wig or make up), ie, a man in a dress.
Basically just because every second of my day is taken up with the renovations.

Today however, I started work early and finished early.
I got home at 2.40, quickly removed my chin stubble (5 days worth), threw on some foundation and lipstick, got dressed and managed to get to a busy McDonald's for a coffee and a much deserved muffin for a treat by 3 pm. I kind of figured the school kids would still be another 30 minutes so was surprised half way through, with all the mums with school kids and the older ones with cars turning up at 3.20.
Too bad, I was enjoying the time out, everything was right with the world.

On the way home, I would say I picked up my youngest from the bus stop, but then she made me swap seats and she drove me home.
Back home and it's back into my builders clothes and back into painting another room.

Two relaxing outings

Tuesday
I got home early and spend a couple of hours with the drain layer, installed the sump and a syphon (absolutely no idea what it does, but the water still flows down the drain pipe.
After he left, I grabbed whatever clothes were close at hand then walked the dogs and chatted to the neighbours who were also out for a walk.
Once I dropped the dogs at home I decided there's a bit of time left for myself before I had to start cooking dinner. Coffee at my favorite coffee shop and a visit to Kmart, which has a really nice "posing wall" and a seat to put the phone on for the photo.

Saturday
I woke at 4.30 am with a sore throat. I did the usual gargle routine and grabbed a lozenge.
Feeling awake I decided an outing in something a bit more risky and changed into my PVC one piece. Just about to put make up on and wife wakes up and drags me back to bed for some early fun, only problem being this one piece is a bugger to get off and no special openings for rude stuff.
Anyway, after wards wife has a shower, I get dressed again but when it came time to put make up on, wife had totally steamed up the bathroom mirror - Sod it, foundation and lipstick on, hopefully in the correct places but definitely somewhere on my face, and I'm off for an 6 am coffee.

Read the paper online, got bored and found the silly photo settings and thought it might make your viewing a bit more fun.

I should have stayed out.
Wife had me pick up a load of decking timber (as if I don't already have a larger than normal deck).
I accidentally twisted my back while carrying the timber to the back yard, might have to visit the swimming pools again to stretch my back out if it's still buggered tomorrow.
On the plus side, the motorbike shop was opposite the timber yard, we checked it out and wife is a bit happier with the idea of me buying a bike after learning what they offer in riding tutorials, safety gear etc (she was hoping it was just a late "mid life crisis")

Ouch

Yesterday I was carving up the concrete drive to do a new connection to the 1960 clay storm water pipe. Using the rented demolition hammer, 3 hours standing over the concrete and another 3 hours in the hole. I managed to baby the large hammer so as not to fracture the exposed pipe.
Afterward, wife wanted a small but deep garden wall broken up and removed.
So after 8 hours hard work, my back is extremely sore, my arms have pins and needles 12 hours later and I've worn the pads of quite a few fingers (luckily not my index fingers, I can still type).
I now have about two and a half tons of concrete on the side of my drive, waiting disposal.

Today I returned the demolition hammer to the hire company. Got the young fella to lift it out the car as I'm just too sore for such a heavy lift

And followed it up with a bit of shopping and coffee and cake.
I was surprised to get "mam" and even invited to a Ladies night promo, with free food.
