Starting to feel the chill of winters approach

So my young grandkids are staying in a cold rental house, it's got the minuim legal requirements (underfloor and ceiling insulation and 1 heat pump in the living room). The house also has ill fitting single glaze aluminuim framed windows that the cold wind whistles through.

Being a rental, absolutely no holes allowed in anything and not allowed to mark the bad interior paint work, so how can I do some sort of double glazing???

Perhaps twinwall polycarb, with an interferance fit into the frame might be the answer?

A test at my house (with heater on) had a 10 degree difference between the glass and the plastic - 9 degree C for the glass, 19 for the plastic. 

So today I go to the supplier dressed in jeans and strippy jumper to get a couple of large sheets before visiting the mall.

Around lunch time, it was getting a bit warm, so I swapped my jumper for a cardigan and decided to visit a cute cafe for Devonshire tea.

On the way home I had to pick up wifes medication and get a couple of items from the supermarket (milk, makeup remover wipe etc).

Eventually I had to change into boy mode, and install the twinwall polycarb (because my car is very cramped with the sheets in it so I'm not waiting until next weekend). Just got to wait a day or two to find out how it's changed the rooms temperature.

UPDATE - getting lots of thanks from family only hours after installing the twinwall, toes not frozen and granddad is a great engineer 😀

City trip

Okay, I'm still using the camera that's so real - it's very unflattering, yet I need to learn the techniques to make snappy videos.

So apologies if this old man decides to dress up in what is hopefully "business style" and visited the city last week. 

It's interesting when you cross dress (doesn't apply to females dressed in jeans and boyfriend shirts) how many of those people you pass, decided to re-check what they are seeing. I didn't notice or care before, but now I notice and still don't care.

So most of you know I like to sit and relax with a coffee, well Friday I decided my second coffee would be in the city.

There was an extremely good singer who reminded me of one of my Ex's that sang like an angel. I tried to get my Ex interested in seeing a promotor, but she told me (1980's) that to be singer in a band she needed to learn an instrument. I hope someone notices this young girl, she was better than anyone on America's Got Tallent.

After leaving a donation in her collection box and a quick chat, as I was leaving a couple of ladies a bit younger than myself commented how good I looked as I passed - very happy about that and we ended up having a chat for a few minutes. Love compliments.

  

Got to stop using the new camera

It makes me look like an old man in womens clothes - it actually made me stop crossdressing for about a week. I even stopped painting my finger nails.

Well technically, my nails are now painted, as are my hands, arms, legs etc after wife chose an off white for our wall colour and I've been prepping and painting the living room all weekend - except for the odd hour here and there.

This is my clothing choice for one of those hours, with a camera that doesn't scare me so much

Oh yes, I got a new pair of shiny new stockings from Aliexpress to replace the ones that I destroyed last month and with the weather getting colder, I don't mind wearing them with mini skirts.

Mid week I did manage a bit of a stroll around one of the malls, it's quite pointless as I don't actually want to buy stuff, so it's normally a coffee stop and people watching exercise.
