What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

Building Consent issued

For those that haven't read my earlier posts, I CAD up a new major renovation project for my house, submitted insulation resistances, light and ventilation calcs, weather tightness drawings plumbing & drainage drawings to name a few. I remember back in the 70's when my dad did great drawing for a shed, the finished lean to didn't look anything like the drawings - dreams are free, timber & bricks aren't.
Anyway, having consent has increased the excitement for my wife, who has had me view a dozen different show rooms this weekend looking at tiles, taps, showers and all the other nick nacks. Her new revised estimate only has us $2K short - lets hope I can save a bit on the build.

Did I mention that yet again, while I was in Australia, my house had another plumbing failure - always happens when I'm in Australia. This time it was underground and I had to open a few walls to bypass the leak. I'm planning to re-do the dry wall (gib board in NZ) as I need better water proofing during the renovations, so the new holes can wait a bit.

All this stress means I need to get out more - well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Please excuse the top, it was free, so why not enjoy it

Did I mention my kids had a party, that finished at 3 am and left me picking up about 60 tins and bottles off the garden.
Can you tell I only had 3 hours sleep?
Luckily their empties only 1/2 filled my recycling bin as I remember a 21st that overflowed the bin.

Purge

Purge is a hated word in cross dressing circles.
Basically we throw out all our female stuff (clothes, breast forms, wigs, shoes).
Normally when we feel guilty that there is something wrong with us (there isn't), or pressured by family, or how I feel currently, which is happier as a male.
I've been there once or twice before, but know that with stress or time or whatever the hell triggers these personality switches, I will be needing my girl stuff again (the golden rule is we are stuck with this condition forever, so never throw away your girl stuff).

I made a commitment to have a girls brunch, so this morning I put my girl stuff on and waited and waited. It was about 15 minutes latter, while having a morning coffee that I was relaxed enough and felt like I was correctly dressed.
Before the manly cowboy time on the farm a few weeks ago, I would have woken as a female or if not, I could have switched personalities in milliseconds.

I would like to thank my wife for the loan of her skirt as my legs are too hairy to wear my shorter skirts and she has requested that they stay hairy - as if.

After coffee I visited KMart and tried on a few outfits, fell in love with this top but since I had already this weekend spent $150 on plumbing pipes and fittings (this time to bypass an underground leak). I decided not to spend my money just yet.

Eventually it was time to meet up with my girlfriend Josie, for brunch.
The manager did ask why we were away for so long as we used to be regulars, but sometimes real life gets in the way of fun outings.

Dropping my alter ego

Sorry, I've been away, besides my blog was turning into a me-drinking-coffee blog.

I've been playing cowboy in Western Australia, so much more fun than playing girl.
Australia has a great range of wild life so my camera has been with me most of the time.
Sorry again, no girl time and this farm adventure has all but killed my need to dress, but it's also an invitation to look at who I've always thought I was in real life.

Too shorter time

Been in boy mode most of the week, got quite a nice beard going.
But I had plans for the weekend, of freedom and fun
So the beard left my face friday.
Saturday - no girl mode, just working around home, going to the gym, reading a fun novel.

SUNDAY
Took my daughter to the other side of the city for a 9 am course.
By 9.10 I had changed and I was having my first coffee at Albany shopping center.
I didn't realize at the time, but just 1 km away from the shopping center is the sports field where the All Blacks played the Springbok rugby team last night, where our boys dominated the game

I had hoped that after coffee, I could browse the shops, but apart from KMart, all the other shops were shut until 10 am and I had other things planned for the day. I did see some pretty tights/sports leggings, I would so love to look pretty at the gym. I checked out KMart stuff as well before heading back through the "City of Sails", home of the America's Cup.

It's nearly election time, but some places opened a week early for people like me who know who they are voting for, so being a loyal NZ citizen I performed my democratic duty before meeting up with my girlfriend for a catch up and beverage.
Later in the day, I was water blasting the fence in scruffy t-shirt, very short shorts and no shoes when wife announced that the daughter needed an early pick up, so jumped in the car with my wife and raced off. Half way there, a new text indicating a later pick up was required. Wife and I decided to get some groceries and I asked if she wanted me scruffy and shoeless in the shops or pretty as I still had all my girl clothes and shoes in the back seat. So there I am at a busy mall, shoeless, scruffy and covered with dirt from water blasting. Personally I would have been happy to change in to something prettier

Please remember to vote,
this is our country and we should all have a say in how it's run.

you know it's girl time when...

Life has been good, but I've found myself clenching my jaw, grinding my teeth
Obviously it's an early indication of stress.

Working out at the gym and seeing the women in tights helps, but what really helps is
Relaxing in girl mode, and I needed serious girl mode this morning

While I'm not a fan of stockings, my wife has asked that I grow the hair on my legs for a family reunion in Perth (8 hours flight for us) in a few weeks, so hence the stocking just for you.

BTW - I need a cheap under $100 drone, with Alt hold etc to video my trip, so if you know anyone with a spare and quick postage to New Zealand.

This morning I discovered two things
1) with g-strings, things get uncomfortable when stuff falls out
2) I should have done a double coating of Thin Lizzy concealer on my chin

While I didn't bring extra make up with me, a quick change solved the problem of the g-string

This morning I've tried on 3 pretty leggings, 3 sports tops and 2 sports bra.
As I'm saving money for the family reunion, I only purchased a sports bra, but might go back for one of the sports top that goes beautifully with the blue sport bra - can't wait to show them off at the gym.

Well I hope your having a good weekend and my thoughts go out to those who are having trouble with hurricanes.
For the rest of today my wife is going to point out to me all the plants at the garden center, tell me the Latin name and a story about each (unfortunately it's no where near a car/motorbike or tool shop).
