What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.
It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.

Merry Christmas to everyone

Just 2 more working days until a nice break from work and I hope everything is going well for you.

Summer is pouring in and a wig is the last thing I need in this heat, but I have a reputation to uphold - well actually not, my wigless photos just don't make it to a public platform. I haven't worn a skirt in that mode, but have worn these tops (normally with just a pushup bra).

I was in Postie Plus with my wife earlier this week and was trying on womens skinny jeans, she would pay for them "at the counter so people don't think I'm a cross dresser" - but just didn't like how they fitted me, but maybe I should just get a pair and start to learn to enjoy them - maybe on the way home tomorrow.

I'm kind of in the "don't give a S#%@" attitude to how people see me (probably the heat) but don't want my wife getting any more upset with this compulsion I enjoy.

Anyway, I hope you all have a great Christmas, with family if possible, or still great, even without if needs be.

Shopping day

With Christmas coming up, I decided to take a Friday off and do a bit of shopping, with a focus on ME.

OMG, Found an R2D2 something - anything will do really, but this is a Beer fridge!
Wish I had a 3D printer, I would have added legs, motorized it so it follows me around the garden so cold beer is always on hand.

I ended up finding fairly good Christmas presents for a couple of the grand kids, but who knows what they will like for more than 2 minutes.

Think maybe I'll get Santa to get me a milling machine or wood lathe. I really would like steel lathe but think I'm going to have lots of wood work experiences coming up and very little steel work (nothing more fun than cutting a thread on steel rods and the smell of the lubricant/coolant).

Old wig losing hair quickly

Not that I'm one to complain about not having hair, but my $25 wig is starting to look a bit thin. I decided to borrow my wife's $1,000 wig - but I'm finding it hard (and scary) to be blond.

I'm fairly sure I need a new $25 wig, and now I've sold the house, I might splash out on a $150 wig once we're in our new house. The neighbours in the townhouses will be in for some gossip once I move in, especially the lady in the first townhouse who "monitors" all people coming into the block 😁

It's been a year

Since I meet this jolly man, and his team even sent a reminder to get another photo

It's not like I was even expecting him at the mall, he was just there and looking lonely when I was there, so thought I'd go and say "Hi".

Anyway - I thought I would share a day of my life THIS WEEK.

00:30hrs -16 year old cat screams for food, I get up feed him and visit the toilet

05:00 hrs- cat screams for more food, I get up and feed him, dog gets excited and wants a packet of cat food. I'm fully awake now, so select some pretty clothes, put away the dishes that dried over night.

06.00hrs - coffee at a cafe, read the paper. Eventually changed back to mens clothes and to work by 7am

Around 3.30pm, get home, put microwave dinner in microwave, feed dog and cat, eat dinner, walk the dog around the block.

By 5pm go to hospital to see my wife, keep her company, get trained on how to do injections, help her shower and wait until I get kicked out.

Home around 9.30-10pm, feed cat again, make snack, share it with dog, write up some training material.

10.45 have a shower, shave, brush teeth.

11pm and finally in bed.

Next day - repeat the previous day, same tomorrow and the day after and........

I have a couple of favourite coffee shops.

One has a lovely woman behind the counter who gets my coffee perfect every time. Anyway we were chatting and she told me she had some dresses she no longer wanted and thought about me and asked if I wanted them. I'm a bit bigger than most women around the shoulders but she suggested I try them anyway. And I did.

While I like them and would definitely wear them, I'm just too big 😒

Except for a lovely blue dress that just expresses me nicely, so I decided to wear it into her shop the very next day.

Had a sad, recent experience, my wife got a CD player to use while in hospital, but my favourite CD has aged (like me) and is no longer playable (a bit like my knees and back).

Anyway, weekend before hospital visits, I stole a couple of hours for myself to relax and do a couple of domestic chores.

Summer is heating up

And my daughter asked where her two summer dressers were. Wife volunteered that she put them in my draws, well she did put one in my draws, the other was in my grab bag. So I got both out for her, which she promptly left at my house - so I figured one last time, once before work coffee and once for lunch at the mall.

I had an appointment with a therapist, not a gender therapist, but a cancer therapist, okay I did turn up in a low cut black top and business jacket, heels and nice pants. What I learned was that I was better off taking lessons from Frank Herbert (Author of DUNE) -you know - "fear is the mind killer", "little reeds bend before the hurricane" or something like that - it was decades ago that I read the books.

Anyway, while I was waiting for the appointed time with the therapist (and in different outfit including a wig), I had coffee at Columbus coffee next to Auckland Hospital, got bored, hoped on a bus to Newmarket shops, walked around a bit before having a cup of tea, then bussed back to the hospital.

Afternoon coffee

I really thought that the school kids (14-17) that hang around a coffee shop I like, were used to me having a coffee and doing a little shopping. Maybe, for many this week, it's the first time they have seen someone my age, dressed up as the wrong gender - or maybe it was my unshaved chin. Five or six gave a stare and giggle, I don't mind, I just looked their way and smiled, even said hi to a group that was close by and noticed me.

I don't mind that I have a male body, it's quite efficient and has served me well, but if I had a choice now, well......

Anyway, a few photos I haven't had time to put a story too, from the last four or five months.
