Got slightly injured on a yacht, running down wind trying to outrun a cloud that snuck up and over one of our islands. We had to gybe to miss a reef but I had a snag in the sheet that kept a bit of tension on the main sail, the yacht heeled heavily and was caught on the tip of a swell. As I reached for the offending rope the yacht plummeted down a meter and a bit, into the following trough, and I followed it down a bit later. I ended up landing knee first onto a metal deck pully. We ended up pulling down the mail as the cloud dumped it's load onto the yacht, reducing our visibility to about 60 meters, only to vanish to the west some 10 minutes later. - It was serious fun (and dangerous) and not a dry bit of clothing anywhere on deck.
The injury didn't stop me from hours of cleaning up and concreting one of our garden paths, but now my hands are very dry and rough from the cement mix and I'll probably be a while in the shower trying to get the dust out of my hair (I had to use my big concrete cutter, did some dry cuts, great for making dust clouds).
But earlier in the week......
Having a relaxing coffee wearing a black dress with a corset over. While there, a chap on a black trike with the Batman emblem on it arrives, interesting, so I go and compliment him on his trike and find out he has a similar car and he does "Batman" meet and greets for sick children and other good works.
I think it's cool someone is using their lives to make others happy.
I've had a few grocery runs of late, not sure why we haven't had the time to do a weekly shop. I'm at the point where I don't want to shop or even cook. I suppose that's what makes the weekends better, knowing wife will probably cook.
My daughter tells me I can borrow her green dress, but that was last week and I have since found this nice top at KMart for $22 which I think is the same colour, has similar sleeves and just seems a bit nicer. While it's semi transparent weave looks pretty, it traps the air and is very warm.
